Top 12 drivers in Xfinity Series, eight in Truck Series will advance to elimination-style playoff
NASCAR has opted to go all-in with its progressive vision of the sport, announcing on Tuesday a Chase-style playoff for both the Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series divisions for the 2016 season.
Each division will use a seven-race playoff, not unlike what is currently used in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The Xfinity field will include 12 drivers while the Truck Series will feature eight.
